Happy SUNday! – getting there

I’m in the final stage of re-siding my house. The last part to do is up on the roof, which isn’t the easiest place to work. I added a slate feature wall, awning windows, and a fresh coat of paint. I’m trying to beat the heat of summer.

This spot gets about 10 hours of summer sun, so it’s one of the most unpleasant parts to work on.
There will be a small fountain and some plants installed here.
The peak is about 16 feet up, and I’ll have to work standing on the roof. Ugh!

I finished two around-the-house projects this week.

It wasn’t a big project, but I was waiting for a part to arrive. I switched out our Samsung Bespoke refrigerator’s lower white glass panel and installed a charcoal glass panel for contrast. Samsung provided an extra set of three panels for free at the time of purchase.
I added some trim around the air handler to give it a more built-in look.
The unit is in our utility room, and although it’s in the back corner, I wanted it to look “finished.”
Our washing machine is in another part of the room.

Wintery Weather at the Coast

Overnight, we received a nice coating of sleet along the Atlantic coast in extreme Northeast Florida (Amelia Island). With the surface temperature just above freezing, the roads are wet but not iced over. It’s pretty cool, though.

Happy SUNday! – Kitchen Reno

Almost finished. Just a few more details and our kitchen renovation will be completed. Yeah us!

We installed the Cafe induction range, Ikea cabinets, stainless steel tile, marble slab backsplash, and Hauslane vent hood.
Marble slab tiles and a hickory butcher block work surface.

I’ll share more pictures of the other side of the kitchen soon. It’s more fun when you do it yourself.
