Hi. If you’ve been following our blog for a while you know that Carol and I have an online (Etsy Shop) at http://www.ccstudio2380.com
We’re in the process of downsizing our collection of cameras and photo gear and are offering some unique items at exceptional savings. Many (almost all) of the items in our shop are one owner items that have been stored properly, inspected for functionality and guaranteed to be described accurately.
Here’s a small sample of what we’ve added to the shop this week.

Olympus OM-1 set with G. Zuiko Auto-S f1.4 50mm lens and a large collection of original sales brochures and instruction booklets. Only $69.00 plus shipping.

Beautiful and functional Kodak Junior Six-20 film camera from around 1935. It’s super clean and in excellent condition inside and out – it even comes with a vintage roll of 620 Kodacolor film (exposed). BTW, 620 film is still available! Only $19.75 plus shipping.

From around 1972, a nice Kodak Pocket Instamatic 30 film camera set in its original box with unused GE Magicubes! How cool is that? Make a great display piece. It’s been tested and looks like everything works – I even fire off a Magicube (not these) and the flash worked great! Only $9.75 plus shipping.

No, it’s not a GE electric razor but it inspired the GE designers to model one after this design. From c1946 this super cool exposure meter (light meter) comes with its original leather case and was sold exclusively through the (US) Army Exchange Service. Only $9.75 plus shipping.

Olympus made this camera for Sears, Roebuck and Company under the Tower brand – the Tower 10 actually. One of those rare 1950s rangefinder 35mm cameras that have both the Tower logo and the Olympus markings. This camera is fully working and makes a great addition to any vintage rangefinder collection. Only $68.75 plus shipping.
All of our cameras are available to ship worldwide. Stop by our shop at http://www.ccstudio2380.com to see our complete selection and for more details about these items.
Many thanks! – Chris

This unique version of Sailor Boy – complete with his Yashica Electro 35 camera. He was introduced in 1966 to promote the new camera release. He’s based on the Scottish nursery rhyme ‘Wee Willie Winkie’.

Cousins, not brothers. The only thing missing on our little guy is his green decal which should be on the front of his hat.

Sailor Boy convention. The new guy cleaned up nicely. A little bit of warm soapy water and a soft brush and he’s good as new!

Made in Japan is about all we know at this point. We’re not even sure about when he was made.

Cool shoes – but are they really Wee Willie Winkie’s shoes? Yep as best as I can tell. Yashica didn’t leave a paper trail for history to discover his true identity.
More about the history and variations of Yashica’s advertising figurine soon. As always, feel free to share your Sailor Boys with us – we’re looking to add to our collection with new versions of this cute guy.
Thanks
Chris and Carol

Looking neglected at a local big box home store, Carol rescued this cactus – it rewards us with beautiful blossoms and lovely leaves of deep green. Here captured in the studio with our Fujifilm FinePix S9900W set on chrome color slide film simulation.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a lovely day!

A “found” photograph of my lovely wife (not quite yet in this pic by a few years thank you).
P.S. Don’t tell her I posted this!!! ^.^

Merry Christmas honey bunny!
Chris
It was extremely hard for us to choose just one favorite for the year. This one wins out just because it wasn’t planned and everything just had to fall into place with minutes to spare.
Island Church, Southern Charm

A very Merry Christmas to all… and a wish for a peaceful 2018. Our “leaders” in America need to take a chill pill and back off on the war talk. As a retired career U.S. Navy Sailor, in my opinion, the best use of our military might is for keeping the peace and protecting the country. NOT playing into the hands of fanatical “leaders” around the globe.
MAINTAIN the peace, CONTAIN your enemies and RESTRAIN our President. It’s easy to drop bombs on people, it takes a real leader to negotiate peace and foster accords.
Peace

All the best, Chris and Carol ^.^
We hope that 2018 can be a year for compromise and accords – not bombs and killings and polarization. As John and Yoko said, “Give peace a chance”.

Hey all! Carol and I continue to downsize our collection (menagerie?) of really cool “modern classics” film cameras (whew)! This one is from Konica Minolta and is a nicely featured 35mm automatic camera that’s as new as the day it was made. It’s still in its original box and includes all the goodies that came with it plus a nice bonus of some Fujicolor film. It features a Konica power zoom lens from 35-60mm.
Check it out…

Please visit our online store at https://www.ccstudio2380.com for more details and to purchase this nice camera set.

It’s in perfect, fully tested and working condition and ready for Christmas!

No worries about dating your pictures – I believe the calendar goes up to 2049!

We’ve included new batteries and an expired roll of Fujicolor color negative film for making prints. We’ve used this film before and it still produces nice colors and contrast! We’ve got the original box, all papers, an unopened strap and a really nice Konica leatherette case.
Thanks for stopping by! Remember, check out our online store at https://www.ccstudio2380.com
