If you can find one of these unique cameras from Fujifilm by all means get it. It’s a fun little camera to “explore” with its bank vault-like construction. Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome day! – Chris

Certainly a tough but worthy camera to chase. As of today, there are only two for sale on eBay and both are in Japan.
Heavy metal! An example of a complete set. This wasn’t my camera but it was the same seller that sold me mine (from Thailand).

Happy Sunday everybody! Yes, you read that right, classic digitals. I find collecting these early compact digital cameras a fun endeavor. But too much of a good thing can be overwhelming. So, it’s time to let a few go by putting them in my online camera shop at http://www.ccstudio2380.com
From 2010, here’s a sharp ultracompact digital from Fujifilm. The FinePix JX250 features a true 14-megapixels of image quality and a super sharp glass Fujinon 5x zoom lens.In the studio. An original boxed set is included with this slightly used camera. No post production image of my model kitty. Fujifilm FinePix JX250.
The Kyocera Finecam S5R is and was a pretty sophisticated digital when it was released in mid-2004 at an opening price of a whopping $499.99! The Kyocera lens is a 7 element in 6 groups design and has a 35mm equivalent range of 35-105mm. It feature Kyocera’s new “RTUNE” Image Processing Technology. It’s also capable of up to 3fps in full auto mode. More can be found at https://americas.kyocera.com/press-releases/press-releases_20150319896.htm
Kyocera Finecam S5R with a sharp glass Kyocera 3x zoom lens and a rugged stainless steel outer case (the body).See cat picture below.Totally unretouched. As it was recorded by the Finecam S5R. Not bad for 5MP.The complete boxed set as it came from the factory. Everything is in mint unused condition except for the box which shows considerable shelf wear. It even comes with the original Panasonic 16MB SD card and Adobe Photoshop Album CD!
Thanks for stopping by and as always, have a beautiful day!

Garden Cat – medium telephoto fully automatic exposure.Wide-angle on full auto. My driveway looks like heck.Longish telephoto – auto exposure.Medium long telephoto on full auto.Auto exposure – medium telephoto.
For a compact digital camera that was released in 2010 the exposures are accurate albeit not super-sharp by today’s standards. Technology has come a long way since then where high-end camera phones can be crazy sharp and compact. This is from another era and it shows.
The camera is super compact about the size of a deck of cards which makes it a bit smallish for me to use comfortably. It’s biggest pluses to me is the steady shot capabilities at longer telephoto shots did its job and negated my shaky hands. The Fujinon lens is sharp with 5x optical zoom but not crazy sharp. Good contrast across the shooting range which produces accurate and pleasing exposures.
I like collecting these simple and compact P&S digitals from the past – it helps me appreciate just how far we’ve come in just over a decade. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
