Classic Nikon. This is the last Nikon F in my collection. I enjoy using and collecting the early Nippon Kogaku logo bodies and, of course, a Nikkor-S Auto 50mm f1.4 lens. The camera was built in mid to late 1964. The lens is from 1965. I like it when it all comes together.

The Nikon L35AF was Nikon’s first 35mm autofocus camera. Its reputation is top-notch, which is the name it is known by in Japan – Picaichi. No swooping lines here, just a solidly built gem from the 1980s.
The Nikon features a super-sharp f/2.8 35mm lens.Loaded with fresh Fujifilm 200. Not my favorite since Fuji dropped the better versions, but it’s still colorful and contrasty.They came in two models. The first was an ISO 400, and the updated one was ISO 1000. I’m a big-time Canon and Yashica collector, so getting into the Nikon brand has been a fun experience—lots to learn, which has made it a challenge. Nikon F2A (F2 Photomic A) with a Nikkor 50mm f2 lens. Pictured with the AS-1 Flash Unit Coupler and AR-1 Soft Shutter Release. The F2 body is from early 1973, and the DP-11 metered viewfinder is from 1978. Do you have a favorite Nikon? This gorgeous camera will be in my camera shop soon (I think).

It looks like it did when it left Nikon USA back in 1978.The 25th Anniversary badge has never been attached. This is how I received it from Nikon USA.Numbered baseplate 25-0749.It has gorgeous chrome surfaces with no marks anywhere.Matching serial numbers.Matching serial number on the DP-11 finder.Perfect. Never had even one roll of film installed.

There you have it. My latest photowalk in our lovely historic district. If you are ever near Amelia Island, you must pop on by for a visit. I highly recommend the Canon EOS R system, lenses, and Contax RX. The Carl Zeiss lenses made for the Contax line are absolutely incredible.
