Early Spring blossoms

moody maples

Taken during an early evening rain after a day of on and off showers and thunderstorms.

I planted these two river maples (looks like three) from seeds produced from mature maples growing wild in my backyard. If I remember correctly that was just over ten years ago. Have I mentioned that I love trees?

Bald cypress growing from a seed I planted. The seed came from the big cypress trees I have growing in my backyard. This one will get transplanted later this year – I don’t know where yet but I’m sure it will be happy.
