Fujicolor Superia X-TRA 400 color negative film (expired 2019-11). No post-processing. Scanned by the lab.
I’m very pleased with the results of my recent test roll through the Nikon. The One Touch AF3 (987) has a Nikon f2.8 35mm lens that’s been reported to be not quite as sharp as the original Nikon lens used in the first version of the camera, the Nikon L35AF. The autofocus was accurate and I’m pleased with the autoexposure of this image given the late afternoon sun and strong contrast of the scene. I’ll be testing the original L35 soon and I’ll be able to get some comparisons between the two.

It would have been interesting to have shot with some of the new Kodak films but with the current price of film, I stayed with the Fujicolor. I’m happy with the Nikon’s performance. A true plastic fantastic from Kyocera-Yashica. Released around 1986, this little gem is a modern classic. It gives much better-known (and much more expensive) point & shoots a run for the money.
Poor man’s T* Series with Zeiss lenses (I’m pretty sure these lenses are Zeiss without the coating).
Not much control over this camera – it was designed to take pictures without much fuss – and do it well.
It says Yashica lens but I’m sure it’s a Zeiss – why wouldn’t it? By the way, the 32mm f/3.5 lens is as fast as the other T* Series lenses – with the exception of the Kyocera T Scope (Japanese market T3) which is f/2.8
Good condition Yashica L AF’s are not common on online auction sites but nice ones still go for less than $40 or so. This nearly mint one went for $20!
Sharp contrasty lens – quick but not super quick AF but excellent auto exposure – perfect pics nearly every shot!

Along the banks of our backyard pond. There’s actually two turtles here. Known locally as Florida cooter or river cooter. These two are about football sized (American football).
Canon A-1 with Canon FD 500mm f8 Reflex Mirror lens on Fujicolor Superia.
I hadn’t used my Canon A-1 in quite some time – months if not a year or more in fact. I had two rolls to send off for processing but needed to shoot the last few exposures. I threw on my favorite lens – my Canon FD 24mm f/2.8 S.S.C. from 1978 – Fujicolor Superia 400.
I enjoy using this 24mm lens over the 20mm and the 17mm. It could be that I’m just so used to it that the other lenses haven’t had a chance to grow on me. Great perspective, relatively fast and good depth of field. Easy to focus too (and forgiving).
