NYC Ball Player c1940

My mom, Mary, took the original image with her Kodak Senior Six-20 camera. I’ve always wanted to improve it. I used ChatGPT to enhance and then colorize the picture.

The original.
Enhanced.
Colorized.

My best guess is that she knew this person, as he appears in other group pictures she took of her neighborhood friends. Maybe he was a semi-pro ball player. The uniform is complete right down to his spikes.

Dressed to the nines!

Unknown people to me but they were friends of my mom. I’m guessing around 1937, 1938 or 1939. Somewhere in New York City probably Manhattan.
