Nikon F Photomic T and a Nikon F2 Photomic A. The F is from around 1967, and the F2 is from 1978.
Nicca 3-S and a Pentax ME Super. The Pentax is only slightly larger than what was considered to be a miniature camera in the 1950s, the Nicca 3-S 35mm rangefinder.

Another look at my Nicca Flash

In this post, I asked what ‘B.C.B.’ meant regarding how the flash was powered. It’s widely accepted that ‘B.C.’ is battery capacitor. The last part is speculated to mean battery. I say this because the flash can also be used with just batteries (usually D cells) and doesn’t need a capacitor battery combination. What do you think?

In the display cabinet (at the moment).

My Yashica Pentamatic collection. The Pentamatic ’35’, Pentamatic II, and the Pentamatic S. Also, the Yashica Penta J and a couple of Yashica Sailor Boys.
Nikon F2A, Nicca 3-S, Contax 137 MD Quartz, and a Yashica FX-D Quartz.
Nikon FT, Leica IIIg (awaiting new skins), and a Nikon FTn Photomic ‘Apollo’. In the back, a Yashica YT-300 radio.
At the bottom are a Contax RX, Asahi Pentax H2, Yashica Flex S, and a Contax RTS.

‘GAS’, Gear Acquisition Syndrome. I do love collecting and occasionally using my classic film cameras. I lean towards Yashica and Contax, although more than a few Nikons have snuck in. By the way, these are Ikea cabinets. They offer high-quality metal and glass display cabinets at a great price. Thanks for stopping by, Chris

Leica-like 35mm Cameras by Paul Sokk

My good friend Paul Sokk in Australia has one of the best camera sites you’ll ever come across. Paul covers in great detail cameras from Yashica, Nicca, and Leotax to name just a few. Here’s the link to a rather new section that Paul added just recently. http://www.yashicatlr.com/LeicaCopies.html

Paul’s knowledge of Yashica cameras, especially the twin-lens models, is second to none (shameless plug). http://www.yashicatlr.com/index.html

If you decide to give his site a read be sure to let him know what you liked specifically and please share anything of interest as Paul is always seeking out new information and ideas to share with his readers.
