SUNday Spotlight – have you checked your batteries lately?

Hi all – I’m back on my battery warpath again. As good as I think I am about removing batteries from my photo gear and whatnot, I get burned again. Thankfully this little disaster wasn’t found in a camera but in one of my now-grown daughter’s toys. I think these have been in for about 25 years so I guess they could have looked worse. The corrosion has ruined the circuits so it’s now toast. Poor Barbie, she should have told us to change the batteries in her store’s display counter.

Don’t let this happen to one of your cameras!

Remember, check your camera’s regular basis, or better yet just remove them to be on the safe side. Thanks for stopping by! – Chris

Comments are always welcomed as I’ve learned quite a bit from reader feedback. As always, thanks for stopping by and while you’re at it, feel free to visit my camera shop at http://www.ccstudio2380.com (CC Design Studios hosted by Etsy). – Chris Whelan

Happy SUNday! – Lionel Trains

A few peeks at some of my Lionel trains from the 1950s and 1960s. These trains saw some action!

He actually moved the milk cans onto a platform. Super cool!

The 1960s missile train car – yep, the roof opened and a missile would fire – toy armageddon!

All of my trains have been sold off to various collectors. I just have the pics and great memories of playing with them with my dad.

Studio Fun

Our first subjects in our studio (more than a few years ago)… some of our children’s toys – actually their favorites! Tim’s was Ash and Pikachu and Lindsay’s was Sailor Jupiter.

Crystals…

We didn’t have room for a proper studio – portraits of people and pets, but a nice corner in our sun room became our tabletop studio and playground. Mostly product pics and of course the endless stream of camera pics.

Not much really. Simple everyday items that struck our fancy. Nothing taken at 24MP – Sony Cybershot, Fujifilm FinePix and of course the trusty Samsung Galaxy S4.
