Thank you so much! Whenever I see this picture of the two of us (taken by my wife Carol), I look at different parts of it. Today I thought to myself how much our noses looked the same. I see our smiles to. I think I have my dad’s blue eyes though. She was the strongest woman I knew – she raised me, guided me and was secure enough to let me leave home at 17, never to live with her again. This picture was taken in December 1976 just before I was transferred to Japan to deploy aboard my ship for three years.
I think it’s wonderful that your parents can visit you. They are lovely people and you and your family are blessed to be able to spend time together.
