This beautiful stein has been in my family for well over 70 years – growing up in New York it was just always there in our house and later in my room (I think I kept coins in it for a while). I don’t know the how and why we had it other than my grandmother was of German descent and my mom was Slovakian with her parents born in Austria-Hungry in the late 1800s.
Is it pre-war (doubtful) or post-war (likely)? What I can tell. It appears to have “Germany” in a circle on the bottom along with “1/2 L” and the number “10”. On the side of the stein opposite the inside part of the handle it has “2021” which I’ll assume is the mold or cast number (kind of ironic that it’s the current year too).

Any help would be greatly appreciated such as the maker and the region it was made in. – Chris
