While downloading some forgotten images that were stored on my busted hp laptop, we came across these pics from a trip to see the Atlanta Braves take on our New York Mets at Turner Field in Atlanta. It was an early start Sunday night game that began at 6PM on ESPN.
Atlanta, Georgia on July 9th at 6PM – should have been nuclear hot out but it wasn’t. We caught a break! But the Mets didn’t!

Standing in the parking lot of Turner Field where the Fulton County Stadium used to be. My son, T.J. is standing near the original outfield wall where Hank Aaron hit his historic home run.

Of course starting in 2017, the Braves no longer play at Turner Field. They only played there for 20 years before moving to SunTrust Part on the northside of Atlanta.

One of the first sights of Turner field when you first walk in.

‘Met Killer’ and Braves great Chipper Jones #10 at the plate in the first inning. The Mets great David Wright #5 is just visible in the upper left of the image playing third base.

Good sized crowd for the ESPN Sunday Night game.

Miss Jackie – long time usher for the Braves works in the stands behind home plate. A super lady and friendly to smiling Mets fans too!

Me and Miss Jackie pose for a pic after the Braves beat my Mets, 7-1.

My guy Daniel Murphy #28 of the New York Mets.

Last sight of Turner Field for us as we didn’t get a chance to go back before the Braves moved on.

Popular one time Brave, Jeff Francoeur #12 at the plate in his first appearance back in Atlanta as a Met.

Ah yes… the 1969 Atlanta Braves. The team the Mets beat in 3 straight games in 1969 to win the National League Pennant and then go on to win the World Series against the Baltimore Orioles.
Thanks for your visit!

Always the hardest of our 3 cats to photograph. She is somewhat of a rescue kitty and is part squirrel and feral moma. JK…
Here is one of the few times in her life she’s not running from the camera. Cute kitty.

Pirate being Pirate –
A much younger Pirate (8 years ago) hanging out with me in the woods. He’s 15ish now and doesn’t climb trees anymore, doesn’t hear all that well and his eyes are a bit dim, but he’s still the best cat we’ve ever had.

March 2009 – still in his winter coat.

Taking a break from climbing trees.

Watching the fish.
Thanks for your visit! Pirate says thanks too!

Our wonderful Tomcat, Pirate, enjoys the views (and breezes) he gets whenever he’s guarding our mailbox. Notice which end is facing the street!

He usually moves whenever he hears the mail truck… usually.
He’s a great cat and people often stop to take his picture. He just started doing this when he was about a year or so old – it is his go to place whenever he wants to keep an eye out on the neighborhood.

Forgotten tool from an abandoned project – as seen through a window that I had installed a long time ago on tile carefully set by me. This was once our house – it was completely reconstructed over the 8 years we lived there. Then sold. Subsequent owners and renters left the house in ruins. A visit back saw the house gutted and lost.

Brass numbers hang neglected – a haven for spiders. I shaped that cedar plaque and affixed those numbers.

A sad sight for us. It was once nearly perfect. Time takes its toll.

Our garden shed was once bright and filled with plants and potting supplies. The grass was perfect and lovely boardwalks connected the shed to the main deck and garage. Weeds and wasps now.
But a new owner took on the challenge – just as we did in 1981. We thought it was nothing more than a tear down – but it’s new life for 818. Joy to see!

Thanks for your visit…

Carol and I would just like to say thank you to everyone who’s stopped by our blog over these past 2 years! It’s been a pleasure sharing our little bits of knowledge with you all and what a joy it is to read your wonderful posts!

Die hard Mets fans and lifelong photographers – Chris and Carol.
What’s been reaffirmed for us is that the world isn’t falling apart – that it isn’t filled with just hateful people with horrible agendas. Caring people are everywhere…
Positive thoughts and actions, kindness, sincerity and charity to those less fortunate leads to true happiness in life (a loving partner helps to). An endless supply of old cameras to play with doesn’t hurt either!
To the amazing people who follow us, we hope we add a bit of fun to your day and maybe we’ve turned you onto an old Yashica or two along the way! The number of visits our blog gets from around the world just blows us away! It would be easier to list the countries that haven’t visited yet rather than the ones that have.
To the people we follow – thanks for sharing your knowledge with us and the rest of the blogging world! We’ve learned so much from your posts and marvel at the images in your blogs. Inspirational to say the least!
Thank you! Thank you!

A small collection of recently “found” images from our time spent living in Yokohama.

Happy me with my new Canon F-1 and Canon FD 80-200mm zoom lens.

Nice watches for a great price.

Carol always had pretty flowers at our house.

We completely enjoyed our time in Japan. A once in a lifetime experience that we still treasure to this day. We lived at 283-D, Area 2, Honmoku, Naka-ku Yokohama from May 1977 to February 1980.
All smiles… Chris and Carol ^.^
