Nikon One Touch (AF3) – 1987

Nikon followed up on the success of their first autofocus compact 35mm camera the Nikon L35AF (1983) with the AF2 in 1984 and then this model the One Touch (AF3). It’s a bit confusing because nowhere did Nikon call this third version the AF3 – it was simply the Nikon One Touch. The good news is that I have a beautiful One Touch in mint condition and still in its original box and with all of its factory goodies. I’ve shot two rolls with it recently and I’m always amazed at just how sharp the images are with this camera and with some Fujicolor Superia X-TRA 400 film. The lens is a fast and sharp Nikon 35mm f/2.8 glass lens with macro (close-up) coupled with as Nikon describes a 16-step autofocus system.

Nearly new complete set.

In the studio.
It’s fun whenever you get to collect such a nice camera with all of its original goodies.
Gorgeous Nikon One Touch. A much more modern design than the 1983 original.
Sample image shot on Fujicolor Superia X-TRA 400 color negative film.

New in the Shop – Saturday Specials

I’ve added some really neat cameras in my Etsy-supported camera shop, CC Design Studios. As always, I have an eclectic mix of classic cameras and gear all fully tested and ready for your adventures. A few examples are shown below.

CC Design Studios at http://www.ccstudio2380.com

Just arrived!
As nice as new!

The Polaroid OneStep was recently acquired from another collector who has had it since new. Although I haven’t run a fresh pack of film through it it’s been checked and I see no reason why it wouldn’t enjoy another active life. The new Polaroid company makes all types of film packs for this model which uses the popular Polaroid 600 film (color and black & white). The Nikon L35AF was Nikon’s first autofocus compact 35mm camera in 1983 and one of its most successful in a long line of similar models (One Touch). This one has been thoroughly tested and I’ve shot two rolls of fresh Fujicolor through it. The pictures came out great – I see why this camera has such a good reputation.

How about a couple of super nice Canons? My awesome Canon A-1 1980 Winter Olympics Edition 35mm SLR will come to you as clean as new and fully serviced and tested! The A-1 is a joy to use and with a host of Canon accessories available, it’s the perfect 35mm system camera. This one has been in my collection for years and I’ve decided to pass it along as I just can’t keep all of the cameras I own (or can I?). If you’re looking for a sharp DSLR then you’ll love my Canon EOS 7D with its Canon battery grip it’s the kind of heavyweight DSLR to handle your toughest photographic challenges. Like everything I have in my shop, the 7D is fully tested and ready for you (it was my personal camera for years). It looks and operates like new and includes its original box, instruction booklets, charger, and batteries.

The Olympus SP-800UZ is a wildly capable 14-megapixel bridge camera with an amazing 30x wide-angle optical zoom lens. Its CCD sensor produces film-like images in stunning clarity. How about a 35mm equivalent zoom range of 28-840mm! Full wide-angle to super telephoto and with super macro ability to within 1 cm of the lens!

Olympus SP-800UZ ‘Super Camera’

I enjoy finding these “classic” digicams from the early part of this century (it’s funny to say that) with CCD sensors and sharp mega-zoom lenses.

The lens dominates the camera body!
Olympus wide-angle optical 30x zoom lens with macro and super macro capabilities.
The camera features a large (3-inch) color LCD display. 14 megapixels is plenty of resolution for such a compact digital bridge camera.
Actually, it has dual stabilization. In super macro mode, the camera lens can focus as close as 1 cm!

The Olympus SP-800UZ Digital Camera lets you get close to the action with its 30x wide-angle 28mm zoom lens. This lens has an amazing 28-840mm range (equivalent in 35mm). If your subject is far away you can still get up close and personal with the telephoto end of the zoom, while the 28mm wide-angle lets you capture breathtaking panoramas. Considering these capabilities, this is still a very compact 14-megapixel camera. Composing photos is easy on the camera’s bright 3.0″ LCD screen, and it is easy to view even in the bright sun.

Intelligent Auto (iAuto) Mode analyzes your composition and automatically adjusts critical exposure settings for brilliant, hassle-free shooting. Other features including Shadow Adjustment Technology, AF Tracking, and Dual Image Stabilization, make it easy to take great photos. Take beautiful portraits, by softening shadows and smoothing wrinkles and blemishes on your subject’s face with the Beauty Mode feature. Edits can also be made inside the camera after taking the picture.

The camera allows you to create stylized looks for your photos with Creative Art Filters, and use the Panorama mode to create one large image. If you need to capture a moving subject, the camera shoots HD-quality movies with the touch of one button. You can store all of your images on the internal 2GB memory, or use SD/ SDHC media cards to better interface with computers, digital picture frames, and HDTVs.

If you want a super awesome CCD digital bridge camera then this Olympus is for you. It’s in my camera shop which is hosted by Etsy at http://www.ccstudio2380.com – Thanks, Chris

Yashica MF-2 Super DX with AM Radio

A unique pairing to be sure. This is the original MF-2 Super made by Kyocera in 1986, not the current model being sold by the “new” and not associated with the real Yashica company in China.

Sharp Yashica 38mm lens (3 elements, 3 groups).
Includes the rare Yashica AM Receiver MF-2S which gets its power from the camera.

This is the last Yashica “Plastic Fantastic” still new in its original box in my collection. I’ve enjoyed collecting these neat Yashicas over the years but as I get older I realize the value of sharing my collection with others. It’s in my online camera shop hosted by Etsy at http://www.ccstudio2380.com.

Just in time for Christmas – Canon AE-1 35mm SLR

Just in time for your holiday shopping and gift-giving, I have another beautiful Canon AE-1 from my collection. This one comes with a sharp Canon New FD 50mm f1.8 lens. It’s been fully serviced with new light seals and a new mirror bumper pad and it’s been lubed to ensure that there’s no squeal or squeak from the mirror assembly (commonly known as shutter squeal).

The instruction book is also in mint condition. It’s one of the best booklets I’ve ever had with my Canons. Looks new!
The Canon AE-1 is one of the easiest Canons made.
I also have this one available in my shop.

Canon Booster T Finder

A classic Canon accessory.
Here is a very nice early version of this important accessory from Canon for the original Canon F-1.

Canon Booster T Finder for the Canon F-1
– Mint in Box w/ Leather Case,
Connecting Cord, New Battery, Prism Cover
– Fully Tested – 1 Owner

The Booster T Finder, interchangeable with the
F-1 pentagonal prism section reads precise
exposures with its electronic timer under
extremely dim lighting conditions. It is
effective for photomicrography, macro-
photography, and when shooting indoors
or night scenes where timed exposures
are necessary.

It will complete as pictured. The leather case
is in near-perfect condition as is the finder
itself. The Canon connecting cord 6V 2B is
also in excellent condition and is the correct
cord for the finder. The finder is powered
by an easy-to-find A544 6V alkaline battery
which I’ve included.

This finder was a key part of my Canon F-1 collection
that I’m now downsizing.

The case is in exceptionally nice condition.
Mint condition.
The battery test indicates all is up and running.
The Booster T Finder replaces the eye-level pentaprism finder on the Canon F-1.
Shown here with the standard eye-level finder removed from the original F-1.

If you’re interested in adding this interesting F-1 accessory to your own Canon collection then pop on over to my online shop at http://www.ccstudio2380.com where I’m having a nice sale on everything at 10% off for a limited time. Thanks for stopping by, Chris

Canon FD Lens Brochure with a full-color centerfold poster – 1978

Although it’s undated my sharp eyes spotted a date code on the lens (rear mounting plate) beginning with ‘S’ which is 1978. The brochure features the new Canon New FD lens lineup and I hadn’t seen it before acquiring it recently in a large camera and photogear purchase.

Lovely centerfold that’s about 17 x 22 inches big!
A pretty neat cover shot for this hard-to-find brochure.
There’s some nice tech stuff inside in addition to the great pics and charts.
The date code that I see is ‘S1105’ for November 1978.
Back cover with my dream collection!

Since my Canon collection is bursting at the seams, I’ve added this brochure to the inventory of my online camera shop at http://www.ccstudio2380.com. Thanks for stopping by, Chris
