Happy SUNday! – Testing my Olympus

Finally, a somewhat sunny morning to test my new to me Olympus SP-800UZ 14MP digital camera with an impressive 30x zoom. These types of cameras are known as “bridge” cameras and this one was released in early 2010.

Early river maple blossoms. Typically these don’t appear for another week or two. Short telephoto on full Program Mode – f5.7 22mm ISO50 1/200
Medium-long telephoto image shot at f5.6 66mm ISO50 1/200 – Full Program Mode
Find the lizard warming in the sun.
Catching some rays. ISO64 f5.6 1/320 131mm
Super Macro Mode.

I’m very pleased with the images this wonderful compact camera can produce. Digicams with CCD sensors have become popular again as they capture familiar-looking images from another generation of digital camera technology. Another plus is the versatility of these cameras with the ability to shoot super macro all the way to extreme telephoto. I’ll have more images of the camera shortly.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Chris
