Enjoyed your photos of Hong Kong in 1979. It was one of my favorite ports of call during my Westpac Cruise in 1966. Courtesy of Uncle Sam’s Canoe Club. I shot many photos of it with my NEW Canon FX SLR Camera. However, since I was a strong believer of Kodak Ektachrome film back then most of my slides have faded a bit and turned a bit magenta in color cast. I always laughed at my dad who ALWAYS shot Kodachrome for both slides and 16mm movies. Now he has had the last laugh because his slides and movies still look just like they came back from the processor. Still brilliant color and very little fade….Ugh!!!!

Thank you for your comments and for serving in Uncle Salty’s Protection Service before me (1975-1997). Yes, HK was always a great port call. Lots of fond memories. – Chris
