Yashicaflex Rookie 1956

Medium-format TLR (6x6cm)

Yashima Optical later became Yashica in 1958.

All of my ‘Rookie Stuff’ together for this display. As a Japanese domestic-market-only camera, the Rookie is unique outside Japan.

It is a wonderfully fun camera to use… It always gets strange looks whenever it’s out and about.

My Etsy camera shop can be visited at www.ccstudio2380.com

Complete set from 1956.
It was likely called ‘Rookie’ because of its simple design and basic operation. Perfect for beginners, hence Rookie.
Triple play!
