A Yashica makes an appearance in a sci-fi movie, again.

Thanks to a tip I received from Mike Bowman, I was able to grab this snip from the 1961 sci-fi movie ‘The Phantom Planet’ of a Yashica YT-100 tape recorder! It was part of the dashboard of a spaceship control panel. If you want to see for yourself, it’s at time stamp 41:47 in the very campy movie.
A nice original boxed set from 1960.

  1. hello I am cleaning out my grandfather’s shop and I came across a vintage cole dictator machine and while investigating about it I found your picture of a Yashica YT-100 tape recorder the two machines are %100 identical from what I can tell accept for the name on the machine I I put batteries in it I I could hear it doing something but I could not get it to function it is in almost mint condition and has the case with it. I don’t have any use for it and will probly scrap it. But I would much rather find someone who would appreciate having it so if u want it I will mail it to u if u would like pictures let me know also
